Nice idea ladies! Generally it’s my mom and aunts who prepare ALL the bhakshanams with a share for me and hubby and i go photograph them LOL
This time will do something myself too!
its a good idea… we will get to leaen abt the importance of festival and also get to eat some delicious food:)
Hi, this is a great idea! We don’t celebrate Krishna Janmashtami but I do know a variety of stuff made on that day. I hope to send in one entry atleast!:)
one suggestion latha. as the festival itself is on 4th of sept and we will be cooking for that day it will be difficult for us to blog abt it and send it before 4th. so i would recommend to extend the deadline
hi latha,
just saw ur comments in my blog. it was just a suggestion coz i usually cook neivedyam on the day of festival and im not sure abt others 🙂 no need to limit the number of entries as i am sure our blogger friends are not as lazy as me who cooks only one or two dishes for the festival.
Great idea mami…if I may call you so. I will send in something too. Your blog has the same theme as mine!
Lathamma!!!!! YOU TOO!!!!!!:D
I am the most nonreligious person, don’t have a clue what to cook or what not to cook for any festival.I cooked big feast on Shivaratri instead of fasting!Hahaha!
But I LOVE cooking!!So I will take your hints and ideas p there and will send you one after Tuesday.Short and sweet post at Aroma!:D
See you next week girl.
Good idea… just a request, can u push the deadline? we can cook on the 4th. and blog later… give it a week extra, if possible. Thanx
I agree with Sia and Manasi about the deadline. Maybe a week after Janmashtami?
I will definitely try to participate in this and send you some snacks or sweets? Do you want authentic ones?
That is a wonderful thought. I am definitely going to try and ask amma to pass me a recipe I could try. I just love the smell of the neivedyam, camphor and agarbathi that fills the house during festivals. Make me feel closer to home and family 🙂
Hi nanditha,
