Nice pictures!! Reminds me of our familiy trip to Shimla in 2001, loved the place, but could not withstand the cold even though we went in the month of March, esp cos the cottage where we stayed had only one small electric heater. My younger sister and me were giggling and giggling like crazy and we had to like sit in the same place on our beds to warm it up. Once we got up from a spot, it got ice cold again!!! Loved the pony ride up the hill though!!! I still have the wollen caps and wodden belans i got there.
The pictures are beautiful! Thank you so much!
Nice pictures, the place looks so serene!
nice pics!! thanx for sharing…
I have been to Shimla 12-13 times. Used to go there every year during summer vacation (my aunt used to live there).
Have some very happy memories. A walk to lakkad bazaar will fulfill your need for almost anything made of wood (lakkad). Almost every tourist visit The Mall, but if you want to see the life of ordinary resident of Shimla then make sure you visit lower bazaar.
Oh…. I have started missing Shimla.
Seems a trip to Shimla is now on the cards. I hate AND love you lakshmi for once again reminding me of Shimla
Bye……
Do all malls look the same… mussoorie’s mall is so similar… 🙂 lovely pics

Such lovely pictures of Shimla – how did you manage to take them? I have only ever seen the town crowded and dirty.
if you know how to cross roads in india, you’ll know how to take pics of crowded places without the crowd 😀 . you’re right though, it was terribly crowded
